How much is insurance?

Insurance starts at £25 per student per year but varies on a number of factors. Please speak to Jay Bhart for more information.

How much does membership cost?

Lifetime membership is £50 per person.  This one-off fee includes your first uniform and a membership book which will contain a record of your achievements. Please note that membership is optional to participitate in our sessions but is mandatory if you wish to be graded. The cost of membership is reviewed annually. Please speak to Jay Bhart for more information.

I would like to train more than once a week

Clifton Kickboxing currently only runs on a Thursday night but we are part of a larger organisation who arranges up to 10 classes every week around Bristol and Bath. Please speak to Jay Bhart for more information.

What should I wear or bring with me?

It is strongly recommended that you wear clothing suitable when attending a gym. Any clothing must be comfortable (but not “baggy” or loose) and allow unrestricted movement. If you choose to become a student and be eligible to take gradings, you must purchase a uniform. It is essential that you bring a bottle of water to each session.

Do I need to book?

No. It is not necessary to book in advance before attending a session. It is – however – recommended that you arrive 10 minutes early before your first session as our instructors will wish to introduce themselves and discuss your level of fitness.

How often are gradings?

We follow the Lau Gar syllabus which has been developed over many years to produce a system that develops you both mentally and physically. To demonstrate development and achievement, we typically grade students every 3-6 months.

I have never done kickboxing before…

Clifton Kickboxing consists of a mixed class of beginners and higher graded people both female and male. It should be of no concern if you are new to kickboxing or martial arts in general. We welcome and encourage beginners of all ages. Session content varies week-on-week but all consist of Circuit Training, Flexibility and Kickboxing with Self Defence.

How much does a session cost?

Each session (lasting a minimum of 90 minutes) costs £7 per person. As we are an official MoveGB partner (https://www.movegb.com/customer/partner?partner_id=5504), you can attend our classes as part of your price plan. You will need to “check in” for each session. The cost of the sessions is reviewed annually.
